Empire Mills Wedding | Diana + Nick’s Citrus-Inspired Celebration in Madison, Georgia

Colorful bridal bouquet at Empire Mills wedding.

We always love flowering an Empire Mills wedding, but Diana and Nick’s summer celebration brought something entirely their own to the space: a bright, citrusy palette bursting with color, texture, and warmth. From the moment we arrived in Madison, Georgia, we knew this would be one of those weddings that just radiated happiness.

A Joyful Summer Day at Empire Mills

August in Georgia meant sunshine, heat, and plenty of laughter echoing through the venue courtyard. The atmosphere that day felt electric— full of anticipation and the kind of warmth that only summer can bring. Guests were greeted by the hum of conversation and the scent of fresh blooms layered with notes of citrus from the fruit we incorporated throughout the florals.

The ceremony and reception both took place at Empire Mills, one of our very favorite venues that strikes the perfect balance of industrial charm and modern elegance. Its many versatile spaces allowed us to create a design that felt whimsical and vibrant while still staying true to the couple’s modern taste.

A Palette Inspired by Summer Itself

Diana and Nick wanted their wedding to feel colorful, citrusy, and whimsical, so we built their floral story around a palette of vibrant oranges, yellows, pinks, whites, and touches of blue. To give the palette depth, we softened the tones in certain areas, allowing each hue to shine without overpowering the others.

We carried that palette through every design detail— each bouquet, centerpiece, and installation felt like a celebration of color and movement. The goal was to create something that felt alive and joyful, perfectly reflecting their personalities.

Modern Style Meets Playful Romance

Diana’s wedding day look was beautifully modern: a clean, white gown that felt timeless yet fresh. Her bridesmaids surrounded her in a stunning array of silk dresses, each in a different warm tone, from yellow to pink to orange.

That thoughtful approach to styling carried through to every part of the day. The photos by Vintage Love Co. captured how seamlessly fashion and florals worked together with each element intentionally chosen to support the overall vision.

A Celebration to Remember

As the sun set over Madison and the dance floor came alive, Empire Mills glowed with golden light bouncing off those colorful blooms and glassware. It was one of those nights where everything felt right, the joy of the couple, the energy of the guests, and the effortless harmony of color, texture, and love.

Designing for Diana and Nick’s Empire Mills wedding was such a joy. Every detail came together to tell their story in a way that felt genuine and unforgettable, and that’s what we love most about what we do.
