Caroline and Jake’s Summerour Studio wedding in Atlanta was a romantic, elevated celebration filled with intentional design and high-energy moments from start to finish. As their floral designers, we were honored to help bring their warm, organic vision to life through layers of texture, creative structure, and meaningful touches.

It was a beautiful day in early October — the kind where the Georgia heat had finally eased, leaving the air perfectly warm and comfortable. Caroline wore a stunning off-the-shoulder gown with delicate lace details that felt effortlessly romantic. Jake and his groomsmen looked sharp in classic black tuxes with bowties, while the bridesmaids added softness and elegance in light mocha satin gowns in a variety of styles.

The couple chose Summerour Studio for its perfect blend of European-style charm and urban character. The lush courtyard offered an overgrown, old-world atmosphere for cocktail hour, while the industrial interior created a warm, welcoming backdrop for the ceremony and reception.
Guests arrived with excitement and joy — a mood that stayed high all evening. As floral designers, we worked closely with the planning team at Jackson & June Events to create a ceremony design that felt both elevated and personal. Soft neutrals — browns, beiges, whites, blush, greens, and mauve — anchored the palette, offering a fresh, natural feeling from the very start.

For the reception, we focused on building an immersive, textural landscape that would keep guests inspired at every turn. One of our favorite floral elements was the mix of 3–4 distinct tablescapes used throughout the space. These included organic ceramic bud vases, lush hydrangea mounds, elevated arrangements with draping amaranthus, and even “flower nests” at the base of table lamps.
Candles in every form — tapers, pillars, and votives — layered in with patterned linens and warm lighting to add depth and intimacy. We’re especially grateful to Jackson & June Events for their thoughtful design direction, including the choice to upgrade to specialty linens that made a huge impact on the overall look.
But the focal point? A suspended floral installation over the black-and-white checkered dance floor, featuring hanging disco balls, greenery, and amaranthus. It was bold, romantic, and created a true wow moment for guests as they danced the night away beneath it.

Caroline and Jake didn’t just create a beautiful environment — they filled it with meaning. Custom cocktail napkins were printed with handwritten love notes and a drawing of their beloved dog. A surprise saxophonist joined the DJ during cocktail hour and dancing, adding a live music element that kept the energy high and the dance floor packed.
Their attention to detail and care for guest experience was felt in every corner — from the thoughtfully layered florals to the mood-setting lighting and personal touches. One of the bride’s sweet notes after the wedding simply said, “You understood us so well! Thank you for everything!” That’s exactly why we do what we do.
